All American: Homecoming Renewed For Season 3 At CW
The CW Network has renewed All American: Homecoming for a third season. The spinoff has survived the long list of CW favorites that were canceled in response to the network’s new owners. While the show was only renewed for thirteen episodes, it may be enough to handle the aftermath of season two’s cliffhanger.
All American: Homecoming left various questions in the finale’s final moments, which included uncertainties about JR’s health, given his past mixed with a heavily bloody nose, and a tease about who Simone had chosen between Damon and Lando.
The love triangle between Simone, Damon, and Lando has been in play since Lando made himself a permanent fixture in Simone’s life. Simone and Lando have been the show’s fun duo. Still, Lando’s revelations that he wants more from their relationship may mean Simone considering what a more serious relationship with him may look like.
Meanwhile, All American: Homecoming has been hinting toward the connection between Simone and Damon since they met in the original backdoor pilot. Simone choosing Damon would mean giving in to telling a story that would be considered a long time coming. But is this the right time for Simone and Damon?
Season three could potentially explore both of those relationships in more depth and even deliver a more emotional dynamic between Lando and Damon as they try to handle whatever Simone’s choice is.
Meanwhile, the leading group’s found family dynamic remains something to look forward to, as does the growing friendships made on the tennis and baseball teams.
Season three can also tackle the plot twist that reveals that Marcus had also been secretly married as a way to create more drama between him and Amara when they finally seemed to be on the verge of being happy together after so many years apart.
