Killers of a Certain Age is coming in paperback this summer

Some things get better with age and that’s precisely the sentiment of a book like Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn.

If you recognize that author, you might know her because of her Veronica Speedwell series which has taken the bookish world by storm. While that isn’t her first series, it’s the one most people recognize her from.

In 2022, Berkley released Killers of a Certain Age, another book that took readers by storm. Upon its release, the book became her most-rated book on Goodreads and was a nominee for Best Mystery & Thriller in the Goodreads Choice Awards. Honestly, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The hype has gotten so massive that Killers of a Certain Age is now going to be released in paperback by Berkley this summer.

With all the hubbub about this book, you might be wondering what it’s about, and honestly, it’s an incredibly fun concept. The book follows four older women: Billie, Mary Alice, Natalie, and Helen as they’re retiring from being assassins. Of course, things don’t go exactly as they might seem for these four ladies.

Upon going to their vacation, they’re almost taken out by one of their fellow assassins so it’s up to them to figure out what’s going on and stop before things get deadly. With a comparison to James Bond x The Golden Girls, I mean how could you not want to read this? However, some aren’t looking to pay the price of a hardcover book.

Thankfully, Killers of a Certain Age is coming out in paperback on August 15th, 2023. That’s also my birthday, so maybe that’ll be my birthday gift. With how much attention this book has gotten, I feel like the paperback is going to be everywhere. It’ll end up as a gift, in beach bags, or even, be one you pick up at the airport and read in two sittings.

Regardless if you already own a copy or want to try something new, it’s good to know that Killers of a Certain Age is getting a new format soon. You really can’t go wrong with trying to read a little bit of action while relaxing on the beach.
