3. “Our Song”

Moving onto the middle of this list, I’d be remiss to not feature one of my favorite songs of Taylor Swift’s debut. I knew everyone has different thoughts on which songs sound the most country but to me, “Our Song” is the ultimate country song.

Aside from the references to trucks, sneaking out, and even, asking God to play it again, I can’t help but think this song is the perfect embodiment of this era. “Our Song” is all about a couple who doesn’t have “a song” but the girl talks to her boyfriend and he explains that they have a song which is all the moments they have together.

To me, “Our Song” is such a fun and unique song because it plays off its title and ends up becoming “their” song by the end. This is another single with an amazing music video including Taylor’s sparkly guitar, her purple princess dress, and lots of pretty colors. All in all, this is such a wonderfully feminine song that I still can’t get enough of it.

Even though I feel like “Our Song” tends to get lost in the shuffle, this is one song I can’t wait for Taylor to re-record. I’m honestly just curious if she’s going to fall back into a country accent or if she’ll go a different direction with it. Either way, this is coming in at the very middle of my list but it’s still #1 in my heart.

While I would have liked to put “Our Song” a bit higher on my list, the next two singles were too good not to feature in my top two spots.
