Is Barnes and Noble open on Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving is here and while for many people that means seeing people they love and eating enough food to put them in a coma, for some, it means seeing people they rather not see and hiding in the bathroom as much as they can. But when the bathroom isn’t far enough away from your relatives, what’s the next best option? A bookstore.

Barnes & Noble is usually always quiet, low-key, and relaxing. What’s more relaxing than being surrounded by books? And if your Barnes & Noble is like mine, it has a bunch of comfy chairs and a cafe. Can it get more stress-free than that?

Just make sure you don’t spend all your gift-buying money on the twelve new books you’ve been wanting to read. Yes, it seems like a good idea now, but when you have to buy your mom a gift, you will regret it. Close your wallet! I believe in you!

But the big, and most important question is: is Barnes & Noble even open on Thanksgiving Day?

Unfortunately, you’re going to have to find another spot to hide out from your relatives because Barnes & Noble is not open on Thursday, Nov 24, 2022. They will be open the day before and on Black Friday, but they won’t be open on Thanksgiving.

So, at least for a little while, you’ll have to eat your heart out, listen to your relative’s opinions on politics, and hear what your aunt thinks of your life choices. Run to the bathroom when it gets too much. Or if it’s not negative 20 degrees outside, sneak outside and get a break from the chaos. Barnes & Noble will be there for you on Friday.
