If there’s one actress who deserves her flowers, it’s Arden Cho. Cho is most known for her role as Kira on Teen Wolf.

Even though we’ve watched as Teen Wolf catapulted the careers of others, Arden Cho never seemed to get the same treatment. If anything, she was cast to the side even more and it’s sad as she’s not only talented but also brilliant.

Even with the announcement of the new iteration of Teen Wolf, Cho shared she wouldn’t be returning because she was getting paid less than her white counterparts. Frankly, it sounds like they didn’t appreciate what they had and still don’t.

The same can be said about Netflix as the streamer canceled Partner Track which Cho starred in but the role Cho should take next is something a bit different.

Hollywood needs to cast Arden Cho in a rom-com ASAP.

While this isn’t a novel concept, Cho really hasn’t been in many movies. Looking at her filmography, she’s only been in 7 films, 2 of which were short films. However, that’s not to say she doesn’t have the experience. At this point, she’s been in multiple TV shows including Teen Wolf, Partner Track, and Chicago Med.

Now is the time for Cho to make the jump to something more and it’s time for Hollywood to get with the program. Maybe it’s just due to my personal recent reads, but I feel like Cho would do excellent in a book-to-movie adaptation as she did in Partner Track. The last two books I’ve read featured characters of Asian descent and both would make spectacular movies.

All in all, Arden Cho has such a dynamic personality plus she’s beautiful so she’d be a real delight as a rom-com star. While it might not be exactly in her wheelhouse, I feel like she’d do an amazing job. Regardless of what project Cho ends up doing next, I really want to see her succeed and end up putting together a performance that will have the executives for both Teen Wolf and Netflix regretting their choices.

With the success of other Asian-led rom-com such as Crazy Rich Asians and Always Be My Maybe, there is no reason why Hollywood shouldn’t be asking her to helm one. She’s a talented actress, singer, and incredibly successful Youtuber. Arden Cho is the whole package and any upcoming rom-com looking for a star needs to make sure they reach out to her team.
