Apple TV+ Renews Bad Sisters For Season 2
Apple TV+ has officially renewed its dark comedy series Bad Sisters for a second season. The show follows the Garvey sisters, Eva, Becka, Ursula, and Bibi, as they plan to kill their sister Grace’s husband, John Paul Williams, and the aftermath of his death.
Season one wrapped up things reasonably nicely, as the finale revealed the massive plot twist behind J.P’s death: Grace had done it all along.
The entire season had tracked Grace’s sisters trying and failing to successfully kill John Paul, with numerous innocent deaths occurring before his death finally comes. The four sisters are shocked to discover none of them had anything to do with it.
In a shocking conclusion, Grace reveals the truth. While Grace had never previously fought back against her vile husband, discovering that John Paul had raped Eva is the final push that Grace needs to understand her husband is a monster and lied to her throughout their relationship.
Refusing to sit back and allow John Paul’s atrocious behavior to continue, Grace stands up for herself more than ever before by killing John Paul and making it look like an accident.
By revealing such events in the season finale and by attaching them to the insurance subplot, Bad Sisters successfully ties up the show’s leading loose ends. In the final moments of season one, Grace enjoys swimming with her sisters. Her personality and bright laughter have returned, showing more of her light than in any previous episode.
Bad Sisters concludes its first season achieving its central plot while not leaving many questions for the following season. Nevertheless, it is a solid ending, so what will season two be about?
The series always has the opportunity to create a new mystery or new murder to surround. The Garvey family has enough excitement, intrigue, and charisma to lead a second season, even if the storyline for another set of episodes is unclear.
