Hulu highlights to watch during your September 16th weekend

Another week, another batch of Hulu releases to look forward to. For September, things are definitely heating up on the streaming platform.

There are definitely some awesome new releases coming to Hulu but there is still some sad news. After only one season, Hulu decided to cancel Maggie. Frankly, it didn’t feel like the show got a chance considering it felt like yesterday that it was in a highlight post.

Regardless, there is still plenty of new and upcoming Hulu releases to add to your queue. For this week, in particular, we’re getting the continuation of a beloved series along with some new shows and movies to boot.

While the cost of all streaming services has gone up, it’s always nice to know what you can look forward to and essentially what you’re paying for.

These Hulu highlights give you something to look forward to this weekend.

As with most of these lists, we’re going to start off by talking about the only original that was added this week. It’s the two-episode premiere of Season 5 of the Handmaid’s Tale. Considering how beloved this series is, it’s no surprise that Hulu wouldn’t decide to add anything else original this week. Fans have been clamoring for the next season and you no longer have to wait.

As for some other TV shows being added, the series premiere of Fox’s Monarch was added on September 12th. Additionally, Freeform’s The Come Up was added on September 16th and FX’s Atlanta was also added on the 16th. While there aren’t many TV shows to talk about, there are plenty of gems in there.

Where Hulu really focused this week was adding movies to the platform including Love, Simon, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, and 2019’s The Cosmos. Honestly, that’s just a small look into what Hulu added and what some of the shows and movies you could check out during your weekend off. Even if you’re not off, it’s always nice to browse as you might find a new favorite hidden in there which is always great.

This week’s group of highlights was short and sweet, but don’t let that deter you from looking at what Hulu has to offer. Plus September can be a bit of a slow month until fall TV starts to get into full swing, but that’s for another round of highlights.
