#TBRTrending: Love Unsolicited by Alexandra Warren
Ever heard of the phrase “You stole my heart?” Love Unsolicited by Alexandra Warren takes that phrase a bit literally.
When looking for a new book to read, it’s nice to branch out to authors you’ve never read before or ones you’ve never even heard of. While Alexandra Warren is popular amongst Black romance readers, she doesn’t get nearly enough love among mainstream readers.
Honestly, no Black indie romance authors get as much mainstream love as they deserve. There’s where “#TBRTrending” comes in, though. It’s a way to help you trend your TBR upward and hopefully, find a new favorite read, discover a new author or just try something new.
August is Romance Awareness Month so it’s only right to feature at least one romance book for the month.
Love Unsolicited by Alexandra Warren is the ultimate summer romance read.
While the concept of this story is a lot of fun, it might not be for everyone. Even so, the book follows Joella, a beautiful woman who essentially gets men drunk and robs them blind before they actually get to do anything intimate. That all changes when she meets Keanu as he’s not drunk and offers her money as long as they can be together.
Of course, their interaction results in a one-night-stand and the two are like magnets who can’t stay away from each other after that. Honestly, these two have such great chemistry both, in and out of the bedroom that you won’t want to put this book down. You will want to shake the characters and yell at them to talk to one another, though.
Love Unsolicited is less than 200 pages so it’s essentially a fun and sexy time. While we do see their relationship blossom, their physical connection takes the front seat here. However, if you’re in the mood for something steamy for summer, then Love Unsolicited is a great choice.
Honestly, I didn’t want to give too much away as the book is a lot of fun and you honestly don’t need to know much before going in. Either way, hopefully, Love Unsolicited ends up making its way to your TBR.
