Joseph Morgan is returning for Legacies series finale
Legacies can expect at least one major guest star from The Vampire Diaries Universe’s past in the series finale as Joseph Morgan has confirmed his return as Original Hyrbird Klaus Mikaelson.
Joseph Morgan had teased a potential return on social media, exciting fans for the chance to see the Original one last time before The Vampire Diaries Universe concludes.
Last viewers saw Klaus; he had sacrificed himself to save Hope and destroy the Hollow. But, even though he has never appeared before, Klaus has remained a vital background figure in Legacies, whether it be his continued reputation as “The Great Evil” or Hope’s strive to be worthy of his sacrifice.
Joseph Morgan’s return fulfills many wishes to see Klaus return to The Vampire Diaries Universe and give the character one last goodbye. It also has the opportunity to finalize a suggestion that has hung over Hope’s head since the end of the first season of Legacies.
Hope had discovered that Klaus would not find peace until she did. Hope brings it up again during her reunion with the Mikaelsons. So, does that mean that the Legacies series finale will see Klaus finally reach Peace?
Hope has struggled to feel she is worthy of the sacrifice Klaus had made by giving up his life for her. Can a chance for them to communicate allow Hope to put that feeling to rest? Will Klaus finally be able to move on?
Although fans have grown excited by every guest star appearance made by previous characters from the spinoff’s predecessors, Klaus is a special case. His impact has reached over the course of all three franchise series, whether as a villain, hero, brother, or father.
The devastation that followed Klaus’s death considering his redemption arc had saddened many. However, bringing back Joseph Morgan to reprise his role as Klaus may give a final meaningful conclusion to the character and his relationship with Hope.
