All American: Homecoming renewed for season 2

All American: Homecoming has officially been renewed by The CW Network. Simone and Damon’s journeys at Bringston University, along with their friends, will continue for another season.

Simone’s college adventure is just getting started. She and Damon lead the series as tennis and baseball athletes. However, as significant a role as sports plays in the series, it is only a part of the overall show. The college experience of living in a dorm, the pressures of athletics, and making new friends all play an integral role in the series.

All American: Homecoming has occasionally crossed over with All American as Simone and Jordan’s romance had previously tied the two shows together. But with their break-up, does that mean that season two of All American: Homecoming may not tie in with All American as much?

However, a second season will give All American: Homecoming more time to continue crafting the show into its own series. Whether it be potentially complicated romances or struggling enemy-to-friendship dynamics, All American: Homecoming has a lot occurring in its first season, with plenty of potential for what it can grow into during season two.

A second season will also continue to give Simone more time and space to grow as an individual without her ties to Jordan in California. Regardless of if the series moves forward with a potential romance between Simone and Damon or not, a single main character may create more narrative opportunities.

However, it could also give more chances to expand on the existing side characters and develop their relationships, or even introduce brand new people to mix up the already complicated relationships.

So, what will happen next? How will All American: Homecoming advance its characters and storylines? While there are still more episodes left in season 1,  viewers can relax at any potential cliffhangers knowing that there will be more to come.
