Even though Sony’s PlayStation Plus has been revamped and launches in June, we still have new games to look forward to each month, especially since the cheapest tier is the same subscription service you know and love.

Nothing’s slowing down, not even with the coming revamp! Below are your free games for the month of May:

  • FIFA 22
  • Tribes of Midgard
  • Curse of the Dead Gods

Breaking down PlayStation Plus’s April benefits

First up is FIFA 22, which really doesn’t need much explaining, but it’s definitely the big name of this month’s games. It’s one of the best FIFA offerings in recent years, too. You can build your dream team in Ultimate Team mode, create your club in the career mode, and take off in the streets with their reimagined take on Volta Football gameplay. Just don’t be surprised by the microtransactions, those are still a thing.

Plus you can claim an exclusive card pack for Ultimate Team that features 11 players and an Icon Moments Loan Player Pick.

Next up is Tribes of Midgard, your action RPG for the month. It also has a bit of roguelite and survival elements, but it’s not unforgiving. Play in a solo campaign or up to ten players as you venture out and explore Midgard to gather resources and treasures to level up your weapons, village, and armor. If you love Norse mythology, you’ll feel right at home in this game, as plenty of the biggest enemies of Norse legend shows up.

Last up is Curse of the Dead Gods, which was released last year and is your isometric roguelite for May. It may look like a Hades knockoff, but it’s far from it. You can easily pretend you’re in the Temple of Doom with its setting as you take on more ferocious and dangerous monsters the farther you venture. The weapon classes offer different ways to play the game and the curse system adds an extra layer to its complexity.
