When it comes to women who will be in the history books, it is hard to deny that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, will eventually be a true part of world history. After all, she is married to the future King of England.
But in her own right, it is clear that the Duchess has become a woman making history. In many ways, her work in the public sphere is thanks in part to her role in the royal family. However, many of the projects that she has taken part in have definitely been for the betterment of others.
In terms of the work that the Duchess takes part in, it is clear that she is all about her service to the people. Not only has she been named one of 100 of the Most Influential People in the World by TIME magazine, but she continues to do work with more than 20 patronages.
Her work to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in partnership with her husband and brother-in-law has led to many discussions in the press about the importance of getting help when one is in need. Of course, mental health awareness is not the only thing that the Duchess has lent her name and support to, as much of her charity work, in general, revolves around education, young children, addiction, and even the arts.
In many ways, the Duchess of Cambridge was always going to be a woman in the history books, but thanks to her charitable work, she is making history right now.
