What’s new in January 2022 for PlayStation Plus members

PlayStation Plus members usually have access to some pretty solid games every month, and we’d hope 2022 would continue following suit.

And it seems as though Sony always likes to start the new year with a bang and strong offerings, which is great news for subscribers.

Below are your free games for January 2022:

• Persona 5 Strikers
• Dirt 5
• Deep Rock Galactic

Persona 5 Strikers is a spin-off of the Persona series and set six months after the events of Persona 5. Action is based on combo-driven hacking and slashing and the cast of characters are the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5. The story is a direct sequel and takes place throughout a summer vacation rather than a full year.

If you’re a fan of the Persona series and haven’t picked this one up yet, definitely give it a download and try it out while you can.

Next up is Dirt 5, your racing game for the month. Truly, Dirt 5 is much more than just a racing game. It offers you 70 routes across 10 locations around the world and you can play through a career mode, a four-play split-screen mode, online multiplayer, a creator mode, and so much more. It is a ridiculously fun game to jump into with colorful graphics to boot.

Lastly, we have Deep Rock Galactic, your co-op offering for January. This is a hilarious game that puts you in the shoes of a corrupt space mining collective of dwarves. Environments are completely destructible and procedurally generated and the hoards of enemies will overwhelm you if you aren’t careful.

This is a fun co-op game if you’re looking for something to kill the time with a couple of friends (and if you’re sick of the multitude of other co-op games out there and need a change of pace).

Of course, the December games are still available to download through January 3rd, which are Godfall: Challenger Edition, Lego DC Super Villains, and Mortal Shell. Don’t miss out if you can help it!
