As Real Housewives of Orange County begins its sixteenth season, Heather Dubrow makes her triumphant return to the Bravo show. While there have been several changes to the Housewives cast, Heather will bring a new level of excitement to the upcoming season. With a bottle of champs chilled, Heather gave Culturess a glimpse into what fans can expect and it is going to be sweet.

When it was revealed that Heather was part of season 16, Bravo fans cheered. As some photos appeared on Heather’s social media, a curious tag was included. That concept of sweet 16 was more than an over-the-top birthday celebration, but there is a little extra with this new season.

Heather was candid about why she was using the term sweet 16. For her, she said “it is sweet” returning to the show. Appreciating the fact that “how many times do you get to have a little bit of a do-over?” While it isn’t necessary “a complete do-over,” there is a sweet aspect of “being able to go back with maybe a different attitude and feeling a little more relaxed.”

Since Heather was previously on Real Housewives of Orange County much has changed in her family. From the first few moments of the premiere, everyone will be in awe of the impressive home.

What has changed since Heather Dubrow has been on Real Housewives?

But, for Heather is more than that. Another reason why her return is so sweet is that she “is able to show (her) family. Those adorable little kids are now getting ready for college and are far from the youngsters that people remember.

Although there was a break from filming Housewives, Heather admitted that her kids have “always kind of lived in that kind of spotlight.” Since there have been other television shows, the kids understand the cameras and lights, but it is now different.

Heather mentioned, “when they were in the first time, being so young, it was more like, they come in, they say something funny and off they go.” Now, the implications are different.

She continued to share some insight on why now the whole family agreed to the return. Heather said, that the “interesting part about coming back, and a more serious decision for (the kids) was that they had done other projects, but (Housewives) is different.” Since it wasn’t their project, “there weren’t the same edit controls” associated with the final product.

Still, Heather is proud of what she has seen and the conversations that she has incorporated into the season.

Heather Dubrow believes that Real Housewives can be a great platform

Appreciating that Housewives is a “great platform,” Heather and her family took the opportunity to bring their world to the show. As she shared, “with four kids, all being different genders and sexualities” their version “of a functioning family” could “help some people.”

While Heather is proud of the moments that her family shows in the upcoming season, the dynamic with the other women might not always be quite as uplifting. Although no secrets were spilled, she did admit that there might be some moments that she might not love. But, that dichotomy is real life. Not every day is sunshine and rainbows.

From uplifting moments to a touch of drama, Real Housewives of Orange County Season 16 could be the sweet treat that Bravo fans cannot resist. Luckily, the new season debuts on December 1 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
