Thanksgiving-themed movies to watch with the family
Are you a holiday lover? With the holiday being here – specifically Thanksgiving – you might want to watch a movie that is about the holiday. Sure we have Hallmark but we have some great films that are about the quintessential turkey day. So after Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is over, here are some Thanksgiving-themed recommendations to watch with the family.

“Spider-man”! Yes. Peter Parker going to Aunt May’s for Thanksgiving dinner after Goblin and Spider-man fight. It’s a Thanksgiving movie officially. Make sure you watch the 2002 version. And an enjoyable one also that the whole family will love. A more classic one that might just be for the parents is 1995’s “Home for the Holidays”. While it tells the story of an unhappy family who is finally getting together for the holidays, it has a classic Thanksgiving dinner scene that monumentally took more than 10 days to make. It will be something that anyone who hosts a Thanksgiving can relate to one hundred percent. It is a classic dining table scene.
Similarly, “Friendsgiving” is a movie that represents coming home for the holidays for a younger demographic and the highs and lows behind it. Even though it debuted in 2020, it is a comedic staple that took on a new meaning and is worth the watch if it has not been watched already.
The last must-watch or movie to check out is “Free Birds”. Time-traveling turkeys trying to stop Thanksgiving? It is a creative concept to the basic holiday movie and it being an animated movie makes it child-friendly. It is a movie for the entire family.
