YouTube Channel: Married2theReal

Names: Tre and Tasha

Location: Houston, TX (Greenville, MS originally)

Whenever you think about couples who create videos for YouTube, you may think of couples who portray themselves a certain way to create an identity to make themselves internet famous. While those types do indeed exist, Tre and Tasha, the couple behind Married2theReal, is anything except pretentious –as you could probably gather from the channel’s name. While they do create reaction videos to various films and shows as a couple, they also do their solo videos for their channel. Tasha will occasionally add some cooking videos or react to some scary movie shorts, while Tre will do bartending videos.

As a couple, they have been creating content since March of 2017 and are heavy into the superhero shows and movies of the MCU, DCEU, and the Arrowverse. You can also find regularly uploaded reactions to videos to anime, such as Attack on Titans, and animated series like Netflix’s Big Mouth. They even dedicated a series to advising subscribers who had reached out to them for help with a situation. Variety is the spice of life for this YouTube couple.

“We starting reacting because of Tre, he was always interested in acting so one day he decided we should try YouTube. I didn’t want to…me being an introvert, but I did it for him. Our favorite shows together are probably The Flash, WandaVision, Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I love horror-based stuff and Tre loves comedy and superhero shows,” Tasha says.

When deciding which shows and movies to react to, they generally rely on a combination of suggestions from their subscribers along with their keen instincts.

“I think when we look for things to react to, it has to be something we are interested in some way or form…sometimes we watch things our subscribers suggest, but it doesn’t always go well lol,” she explains.

As for the near future, the couple is ready for the next set of films from Marvel’s Phase Four, including Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The two have a particularly soft spot for the MCU, which can easily be seen during the penultimate episode of the Disney+ WandaVision series in which we see flashbacks of what caused Wanda to essentially overload on grief. You can view their reaction above.
