We love Patrick Wilson, but thanks to a set photo from James Wan, we know that our Aquaman villain (sometimes it is hard to think of him as a villain because in some cases, what he said made sense) is going to have a whole new look in the sequel. And unfortunately for Orm/Ocean Master, that look is a cross between a deserted island castaway and a cast member from Survivor (which is pretty much the same thing but not).

Let’s just say that if Arthur Curry/Aquaman is getting an upgrade to his look when we see him next in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, for Orm it is all about getting a downgrade.

Will this look last? Probably not. This is the Ocean Master after all. He was a king who wanted to rule the world, taken down by his own brother. I highly doubt he is going to be an unkempt mess for too long. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate just how jarring the difference is between what he was to what he has become.

We are loving the fact that James Wan is giving us a look at Orm after his defeat, but it also begs the question of what his role will be in this new adventure. And how does this photo set the stage for what is to come?

Patrick Wilson is going to have a whole new look as we head into Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

On the one hand, we expected to see some massive changes in Orm since he was being punished for his actions which started a war in the seas. But on the other, we didn’t expect to see an overgrown beard, pants that had seen better days, and abs for days.

Honestly, we are loving the back-to-back teasers from Aquaman, especially since the movie doesn’t hit theaters until December of 2022. But at the same time, we have a lot of questions, especially since we know that the title alone is teasing us with an epic and dangerous adventure.

What does Orm’s new look mean for Arthur? And just how bad is this all going to be for our hero before everything is said and done? It may not look like Orm can get into a lot of trouble in the state he is in, but he is definitely not someone you want to underestimate.
