Suicide Squad member: George “Digger” Harkness / Captain Boomerang

Jai Courtney delighted fans as the pink unicorn-loving Australian with a penchant for boomerangs. Though he didn’t use them terribly often in the first film, the Flash villain was a much different version of the character than we’ve seen before.

Captain Boomerang made his comics debut in The Flash #117 from 1960. At first he was using an American accent but it later changed to Australian. Should people be offended by that or…? Either way, the Captain title has been given to two characters – a father and son. I have a feeling this version of the character doesn’t have a son.

Given that there’s a Flash film in the works and how popular he was, I want to believe he’s alive at the end of The Suicide Squad. I really do. He may just be too off the wall for the future films though. Plus it may be a bit difficult to get people to believe he’s a real threat to the scarlet speedster.

Prediction: Dead
