Based on the true story of Paula and Gery Conover, A Godwink Christmas is the story of Paula (Kimberley Sustad). She’s an antiques dealer in St. Louis and she has settled into a comfortable pattern with her boyfriend Daniel (Giles Panton). Daniel is ready to settle down even more, but when he proposes to her Paula accepts the offer even though her heart really isn’t feeling the offer from the hard-working attorney.

Paula’s Aunt Jane invites her to spend some time ahead of the holidays at her home in Nantucket. Jane (Kathie Lee Gifford) is a writer and she’s working on a novel so Paula books a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. When she meets Gery (Paul Campbell), they realize that there is a spark between them that’s undeniable. Bad weather strikes, forcing the new friends to spend more time with each other. When she finally leaves, Paula finds herself thinking about him.

Aunt Jane can sense that Paula isn’t thrilled about her engagement to Daniel and she thinks meeting Gery was a “Godwink”, a little hint from above that she should listen to her instincts. Sometimes it’s not easy, but the destination is well worth the journey.
