YouTube Channel: Sofia Reacts

Name/Age: Sofia Rojas/28

Location: Ontario, Canada

Sofia is a lesbian who has been reacting for approximately five years to various television shows, with some of her favorites being Supergirl, Motherland: Fort Salem, and The 100 (up until Lexa was killed, at least). She originally started out as a fan of reactors herself.

“I saw a reaction compilation video to Korra and Asami and realized that reacting was a whole community. Seeing all these people in the internet react to Korrasami the way I did when that final episode aired, was validating. It was such a positive experience. Season 3 of The 100 was about to air in February of 2016, and at that time I was on Twitter, so I knew there was a lot of hype regarding Clarke and Lexa. I thought to myself, ‘Hey, I enjoyed watching others react to the things I like to watch, maybe people will enjoy my reactions,’ and I was right,” she explained.

What is so great about Sofia, aside from her dry sense of humor, is that she doesn’t hesitate to share parts of her personal life with her viewers. For instance, Sofia’s girlfriend Mallory often appears alongside her in the reaction videos for Motherland: Fort Salem. It’s a special experience to see a show bring two people, who are obviously already close, even closer.

Sofia is currently at just over 18,000 subscribers and makes her videos in her spare time, as her day job as a paramedic tends to keep her pretty busy.

A diehard Supercorp fan at heart, one of Sofia’s most memorable videos is her reaction to theSupergirl season four finale, titled “The Quest for Peace.” This is the episode that leaves us with the cliffhanger of whether or not Katie McGrath’s Lena Luthor has truly gone to the dark side, after killing her brother, Lex.
