After taking a brief break last week to set up some big developments with the cult and introduce us to John Dorie Senior, Fear The Walking Dead season 6 starts the countdown to the finale in a big way with “Mother”. Teddy is more diabolical than has been revealed before, and while his ultimate plan has still not been revealed the pieces are falling into place in this episode, and just seeing glimpses of what’s ahead is terrifying.
Forget what you thought you knew or theorized about what’s coming, because this arc is bigger and more terrifying than anyone could have predicted. The Fear the Walking Dead writers, who have taken the show to the next level throughout this season, are going big for the end of season 6.
As you might have guessed from the title mothers and maternal relationships are at the forefront of this episode but in ways that might surprise you. They definitely surprised me. The synopsis for Fear The Walking Dead season 6 episode 14 “Mother” reads:
"“Alicia is held prisoner by Teddy. There, she reunites with old friends and must confront her past if she hopes to move on and escape.”"
Which as usual barely describes the bare bones of the narrative arc. The teaser for “Mother” also doesn’t reveal much except that Teddy is still holding Alicia prisoner:
