PlayStation Plus members have had a solid 2021 of free games so far. And alongside their Play at Home offerings to all PlayStation owners, Sony really has spared no expense to keep their players happy.

The great news for PlayStation Plus members is that April still brings some pretty fun free games, especially if you happen to own a PlayStation 5.

Here are the offerings for April:

  • Days Gone
  • Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Check out the announcement trailer below:

As they’ve been doing since its release, PlayStation 5 owners will have access to Oddworld: Soulstorm beginning April 6th. This is a modern-day reimagining of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, which originally came out in 1998. It’ll be interesting to see just how different and modern it is compared to the original.

First up for the offerings this month is Days Gone. If you didn’t get enough zombie apocalypse over the past year living through a global pandemic and playing any of the Resident Evil remakes or The Last of Us Part II that came out, this is the game for you!

Days Gone is an open-world game post-zombie apocalypse. The story isn’t anything terribly creative, but one of the more fun things about the game is the motorcycle your character uses to travel. The handling is some of the better ones I’ve played. And if you love to kill hoards and hoards of mindless zombies, this one is perfect for you.

There is also a PS5 update for Days Gone that allows you to play at 60 FPS and 4k resolution.

Your other game this month is totally different from Days Gone. It’s Nazi zombies! That’s different, right? All joking aside, Zombie Army 4: Dead War brings the Nazi army back from the dead. You can play the story campaign, which takes about eight hours, or there’s a Horde mode where you can just see how many waves of Nazi zombies you can take on. Of course, there’s also the online co-op mode.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War doesn’t do anything drastically new with the zombie-killing, co-op genre, but it does include some fun mechanics that will make killing hordes upon hordes of zombies a little less monotonous.

Microsoft’s attempted Xbox Live Gold price spike may just be the beginning. light. Related Story

All three April offerings are available to download beginning April 6th and will be up through May 3rd.
