The Walking Dead is finally back with new episodes on Sunday, February 28th. The first episode of season 10C is “Home Sweet Home”, an installment that delves into Maggie’s story and explores where she and Hershel have been since they left the Hilltop back in season 9.

The official synopsis for “Home Sweet Home” is rather cryptic:

"“Maggie has returned, to the dismay of Negan. The trials she endured since leaving has made her harder in order for her and her son to survive. When her past catches up to her, Daryl and Maggie unexpectedly fight an unseen and unknown threat.”"

But it indicates that Maggie and Negan are going to have to face each other at some point. Truthfully, I’m not sure I’m ready to let go of my grudge against Negan over his murder of Glenn but we’ll see what happens. If Maggie is ready to forgive him I will too, but I don’t think she’s in that place yet.

Because of the changes that had to be made in order to keep everyone safe during filming The Walking Dead 10C was filmed digitally instead of on actual film. The use of actual film was what gave the show the unique look that it’s had from the start so it will be interesting to see if the switch to digital makes any obvious difference to the feel of the show.

So let’s get into it. Here are the spoiler-free thoughts I had watching the screener for The Walking Dead “Home Sweet Home”.
