Netflix’s hit new television show revolves around the Bridgerton family: Matriarch Violet and her eight children. But how do the siblings stack up against each other?

One of the best parts of Bridgerton is the family dynamic between the large Bridgerton brood. L

Lady Whistledown describes the family as full of “perfectly handsome sons and perfectly beautiful daughters,” but it seems fair to say that some make for more compelling characters than others.

Fair warning: I’ve ranked the siblings from my least favorite to favorite based on the television show alone. I haven’t read all the books yet, so I’m not factoring those in! Obviously, this list is subjective and I love the entire family.

8. Francesca

Francesca is ranked lowest because we barely see her. Only appearing in two episodes, the second youngest Bridgerton daughter remains largely a mystery at the moment.

Hopefully we get a second season and get to see more of her (and actress Ruby Stokes who plays her).

7. Gregory

The youngest Bridgerton brother is ranked low on the list for a similar reason: lack of screen time.

He’s often around but rarely gets a moment on his own to shine. But little Will Tilston is adorable, so here’s hoping he’ll also feature more in any future seasons.

6. Colin

It pains me for Colin to appear so low on this list. He’s the definition of a himbo – definitely not the brightest Bridgerton but so sweet.

He sort of seems like the Neville Longbottom (post glow-up) of the series. And Luke Newton does such a fantastic job with the role, it’s easy to see why Penelope Featherington is smitten with him.

5. Daphne

I do love that Daphne is a character who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to stand up to her eldest brother to get it. She’s a romantic who strives for the love that she saw her parents share and has fantastic chemistry with Simon, the Duke of Hastings.

Phoebe Dynevor does a fantastic job with the character, showing both her kindness and her naïveté.

 4. Anthony

Some people might be surprised that Anthony ranks so highly on this list because he starts the series as a rather self-absorbed rake, more interested in trysts with his mistress than properly looking after his family. But I love seeing him grow throughout the series’ eight episodes as he realizes that he doesn’t know what’s best for everyone and struggles with his own love life.

Plus, Jonathan Bailey endows the character with such emotional depth that it’s difficult not to root for him to figure things out.

3. Hyacinth

The littlest Bridgerton sister ranks so high on my list purely for the scene in which she asks Simon for a horse, a moment that is delivered fantastically by Florence Hunt. ‘

Her inquisitiveness and lack of a filter are so typical of a much younger sister and so, as I’m an older sister myself, she easily wormed her way into my heart.

2. Benedict

Less rigid than his older brother but more adventurous than the next in line, second-eldest Benedict is the older brother of dreams.

It’s hard not to admire his love of art and his willingness to befriend artists and commoners, plus his talks with Eloise are adorable. And it doesn’t hurt that Luke Thompson is very dashing.

1. Eloise

Who could take the top spot but Eloise Bridgerton?

From her determined search for the identity of Lady Whistledown to her demanding someone tell her where babies come from, she’s a perfect blend of humor and feeling.

Claudia Jessie perfectly masters both and is very touching in scenes in which Eloise talks about her desire to do more in life than be a high society lady.
