Kellyoke

American Idol alum and all-around superstar, Kelly Clarkson landed her own television talk show in 2019 and brought her gift of connecting with people to a fun hour each weekday, full of inspiring stories, live musical performances, games, and celebrity guests. One beloved facet of The Kelly Clarkson Show is “Kellyoke,” a segment in which Clarkson sings covers of hit songs from all different decades and genres.

While production of the show was interrupted by the pandemic, Kelly set up everything to be done remotely, singing and interviewing from her home. When she finally returned to the studio later this year, instead of having in-house audience members clap and cheer, vertical screen panels replaced physical seats as audiences appeared from their homes.

This year’s Kelloke songs were particularly poignant and timely, with such hits as Lady A’s “Need You Now,” Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” Demi Lovato’s “Confident,” and, yes, even Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You.” You can view a list of Billboard’s Top 10 Kellyoke songs here. It’s probably not such a big deal for Clarkson to perform these songs, but we’re certain 2020 would’ve sucked a little more without Kellyoke.
