The Flight Attendant
Based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian, The Flight Attendant stars Kaley Cuoco in the title role and premiered in November of 2020 on HBO Max. Cuoco plays Cassie Bowden, a reckless alcoholic flight attendant who finds herself waking up next to a dead body in Bangkok. As she struggles to piece the night before together with the help of her friends, Cassie becomes the prime suspect in the murder of an affluent businessman with ties to organized crime.
Cuoco departs from her Big Bang Theory comedic side and impresses with her sharp, dramatic turn as the hot mess character of Cassie. Supporting cast members who also shine throughout the series include Zosia Mamet as Cassie’s lawyer best friend Annie, Rosie Perez as fellow flight attendant Megan, and T. R. Knight as Cassie’s slightly estranged brother. The addictively intriguing and sexy storyline keeps us on the edge of our seats, while we become jealous of Cassie’s globe-trotting adventures. Except for the murder part.
