In the Heights – June 18, 2021

In the Heights was originally scheduled to immerse moviegoers into Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway-show-turned-film this past summer, but COVID-related delays put the brakes on that plan. We’ll get to enjoy the colorful musical in June, though, whether the situation is better by then or not.

Set in Washington Heights in New York, In the Heights follows a Latino community as they live out their lives through a series of hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and soul songs.

Space Jam: A New Legacy – July 16, 2021

Who knew the 1996 hit Space Jam would get a sequel more than 20 years later? The sequel follows basketball star LeBron James and the Looney Tunes characters that made the original such a memorable film. With Malcolm D. Lee and Ryan Coogler directing and writing, respectively, this sequel may just do the classic movie justice.

The Suicide Squad 2 – August 6, 2021

Warner Bros.’ original Suicide Squad was met with mixed reactions from moviegoers, but putting James Gunn at the helm of the sequel has reinvigorated some of the excitement surrounding this story. Featuring several of the team members from the original movie, including Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, The Suicide Squad 2 is also bringing on a slew of newcomers — and judging by the video used to introduce them all, it looks like this film could be every bit as dark and comedic as DC fans are hoping for.

If there’s one thing we know about Gunn after Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s that he knows how to handle a gang of outcasts — and make us laugh until we cry.
