2. Jellyfish

One of the biggest surprises this season was that the celebrity behind Jellyfish was not a professional singer. Shockingly, the talented voice behind the character was Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim. Ken Jeong, shockingly, guessed correctly for the second time this season and screamed at the top of his lungs when Jellyfish removed its mask.

“You were amazing tonight. Thank you for being an inspiration to my daughters,” Jeong told Kim. “You are a huge name in my household and you inspire us all. Thank you and I wish you continued success.”

The athlete known as the youngest female snowboarder to win a gold medal mentioned her stint on The Masked Singer was the first time she ever sang in front of a crowd. Doing so in a mask helped put her at ease, she said in her unmasked interview. Kim also took vocal lessons beforehand with the goal of becoming competitive, which she was, as she came so close to making it to the finale.

“Me coming on this show really was my version of getting out of my comfort zone,” Kim said. ”I’m really proud of myself. I feel, like, I was able to push through some really hard and tricky times while I was on this show. So get out there, try new things.”

Kim looked into Jellyfish’s eyes one last time before parting ways, saying, “Jelly, you were really heavy, but you were cute. I’m gonna miss you” and she gave Jellyfish a kiss goodbye.
