10 November romance releases to enjoy during this holiday season
By Sabrina Reed
Ruinsong by Julia Ember
In Ruinsong, Julia Ember spins a dark fantasy that reunites two childhood friends after life separated them and put them on opposing sides of a brewing rebellion.
Cadence has been using her powerful magic to torture nobility the queen has deemed disgraced. It’s a ruthless practice that eats at her soul, but it has given her a place at court — a purpose forced upon her, but hers nonetheless.
She is a weapon. One that the revolution could use to their own benefit if Cadence ever broke rank. But it’s not until a noblewoman, with whom Cadence has history, walks back into the picture that Cadence is forced to make a decision.
Will she become a monster like the queen, or will she help free her people from tyranny? The choice is hers, but love may also have a say.
Ruinsong will be available November 24 in print and e-book format.
Being Merry by Meka James
Noelle Cameron is homeless during the holidays in Meka James‘ Being Merry, the third book in her Desert Rose Hook-Ups series, but she at least has temporary housing. She’s thankful for that, even if her roommate is grumpier than the Grinch. Lennox Sutton will just have to get into the spirit of Christmas or come along for the ride because Noelle isn’t letting anyone or anything dampen her mood.
It should be noted that Lennox doesn’t dislike Noelle. She’s just not a fan of how loud she is about the holidays. The reindeer headbands are a bit much, as are the ugly sweaters. And did she mention she was guilt tripped into this situation by her meddling sister?
Not that Noelle isn’t good company. She is. Lennox can admit that. And Christmas can be magical, she guesses. Plus, it’s the season of giving and, well, it won’t be that long before she’s alone again. Right? Right.
Being Merry will be available November 27 in e-book format.
