Hocus Pocus

If there’s one thing every Halloween lover can agree on, it’s that Hocus Pocus is a must-watch every October. The Sanderson Sisters bring witchy fun to the Halloween season, and the holiday just wouldn’t be complete without them. And although this fan-favorite movie is playing on Freeform throughout the month courtesy of its 31 Nights of Halloween, having it on Disney+ enables subscribers to watch it at their convenience.

If you’re somehow new to Hocus Pocus, the film follows a group of kids in Salem who accidentally unleash a trio of witches — the Sanderson Sisters — and now must steal their spell book and prevent them from achieving immortality. The film is a ton of fun, even as an adult, and if you’ve never seen it, you should make it number one on your Halloween watch list.

Halloweentown

Much like Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown has become a Halloween marathon staple, especially for those who grew up watching Disney Channel original movies. Having it on Disney+ will make it much easier to add to a Spook Season marathon, though — and the streamer also has the sequels, meaning you can make an entire night of it.

Halloweentown follows 13-year-old Marnie Piper as she discovers that she’s a witch descended from a long line of witches — hence why her mother will never let her go out on Halloween. Fast-forward and Marnie winds up having to save a town monsters.
