Piper Curda

Piper Curda got her big break starring as Jasmine in Disney’s I Didn’t Do It. Still fairly new on the scene, she’s managed to rack up a number of roles, including Teen Beach 2 and her latest project The Wretched. Since she’s mostly portrayed bubbly and innocent characters, it would be amazing to see her step out of her element and kick butt as a superheroine.

If we’re going down the checklist of traits needed to portray Silk, Curda hits all of them. Besides being the perfect age to pass as Peter Parker’s classmate, she embodies the sassiness, tenacity, and talent to portray our favorite alternative Spider-Man. Like Silk, Curda isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in. The young actress doesn’t bite her tongue when it comes to politics and encourages everyone to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Curda also doesn’t stay quiet when it comes to speaking about how important representation is. Curda has spoken out against Hollywood on how Asians aren’t interchangeable.

You can catch Curda in the upcoming film American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules, which is set to be released on demand and DVD on October 6.
