Downton Abbey

The period drama to rule all period dramas, Downton Abbey took the world by storm with its lavish sets, massive cast, and iconic British accents, all of which cemented it as an instant classic the moment it premired in 2010.

Following the lives of an aristocratic family living in England’s Edwardian period, Downton Abbey‘s bread and butter is its attention to detail and many interwoven plots that wind between all the members of its massive ensemble cast. The show was so successful that it spawned a 2019 film that earned a theatrical release, and despite the fact that it ended several years ago, there’s still a significant fanbase that shows no signs of slowing down.

If you’re on the hunt for a historical drama to quench your thirst for stiff-upper-lip dialogue and decadent costumes, Downton Abbey is the one for you.

American Psycho

For those of us who are looking for a little more blood and guts during our binge-watching sessions, Peacock will play host to a plethora of great horror and thriller movies, including Mary Harron’s American Psycho. Starring Christian Bale in one of his most charismatic performances as businessman/serial killer Patrick Bateman, American Psycho walks the line between horror, satire, and comedy while never letting up on the terror and the gore. It can be an intense viewing experience, but it’s also one of the most influential films in modern horror, and for good reason.
