From weddings to warrior nuns Netflix is reveling in light, love, and the battle against good and evil during the first week of July

Yes, we’re in July, Netflix watchers. We’ve officially passed the halfway mark of the longest year ever. What’s made it marginally better is all the content Netflix has on its platform to disappear into and enjoy.

This week new series Say I Do and Warrior Nun have their turn up to bat to entertain us as we continue to social distance, wash our hands, and wear our masks.

Call us sentimental, but it seems fitting that we settle into July still feeling that June wedding buzz. 2020 postponed many marital celebrations but this year has seen some newlyweds think outside of the box to exchange their vows even in the midst of a pandemic. Still, there’s something to be said for the traditional fanfare, and if you’re looking to indulge in some feel-good television with soon-to-be spouses leading the way then Say I Do is the show for you.

Say I Do: Surprise Weddings

From the creators of Queer Eye, Say I Do is a reality TV show featuring 8 couples. One half of the pair is intent on surprising their partner with their dream wedding.

Be prepared for crying and a need for tissues as the show delves into each relationship, displaying the depth of the love between these soon-to-be newlyweds, their personal struggles and triumphs, as well as what marriage and family means to them.

With the help of interior designer Jeremiah Brent, celebrity fashion designer Thai Nguyen, and chef Gabriele Bertaccini, these couples are about to experience a moment they’ll remember and cherish their whole lives.

Complete with gorgeous wedding attire, beautiful settings, and delicious food, Say I Do is a romantic, heartwarming affair for all.

Say I Do is available to stream on Netflix now.
