This week’s episode of The 100 shows the tensions at Sanctum coming to a head — and reveals what’s become of the prisoners on Bardo.

Last week’s episode of The 100 built on all three storylines the final season is covering, but little happened in the way of action. This week, however, it looks like the tensions at Sanctum are coming to a head — and Raven’s choice to sacrifice the Eligius IV prisoners back in “False Gods” may prove disastrous for her friends on planet Alpha.

Although the promo trailer opens with Emori seemingly having found a way to give the people of Sanctum peace, things quickly escalate from there. Fans get a brief shot of Russell — or, more accurately, Sheidheda — declaring that “something bad is about to happen,” right before the teaser jumps to a clip of Nikki and her followers emerging with the guns they stole last week. (That’s a big uh oh for our heroes stuck behind the walls with them.)

And, sadly, it looks like Emori’s going to bear the brunt of Nikki’s rage during “The Queen’s Gambit.” Not only does the promo show Nikki punching her in the face, but it also ends with a gun to Emori’s head. Could this week’s episode be the end of her run on the series? (Let’s hope not. Raven really wouldn’t be able to cope with the guilt of the Eligius IV prisoners and the death of one of her closest friends.)

While things look pretty drastic in Sanctum, the promo footage also reveals that we’ll be seeing more of what’s happening on Bardo this week. During the last episode, Gabriel made a pretty facepalm-worthy mistake, knocking his entire group unconscious for fear of stepping out into radiation. But now they seem to be prisoners of the Disciples once again. (Hopefully, “The Queen’s Gambit” will show them making moves to change that.)

The bright side of this is that Octavia and Echo are finally going to bond. These two have had a pretty rocky relationship, but Bellamy’s supposed death has given them something in common — and judging by the promo and the images for this week’s episode, they’ll be grieving together.

There’s also an interesting shot of Diyoza telling her daughter — who she has in a headlock, mind you — that “violence and rage will only destroy your soul.” We know Diyoza doesn’t want Hope to wind up like her, but hopefully that doesn’t prevent the group from escaping Bardo. Ideally, Hope can resort to peace after they’ve dealt with their enemies.

It seems like we’re in for another wild ride this week, and hopefully it won’t end in too much bloodshed.
