The Marriage Game by Sara Desai

Sara Desai pits an entrepreneur and a CEO against one another in her debut romance, The Marriage Game.

Layla Patel’s life has fallen apart. That’s why she’s back home with her family in San Francisco, and why her father is trying to cook up some good fortune for her. In an effort to get Layla back on track, her father gives her the office above his Michelin starred restaurant . He also creates a dating profile for her online without her knowledge, which means well-intended shenanigans are about to throw a wrench in Layla’s plans to focus on starting her new business.

To make matters worse, Sam Mehta is encroaching on her space. He’s the CEO of a corporate downsizing company who swears the upstairs office is supposed to be his. Supposedly it’s the oasis of quiet he was looking for in the conflict ocean that is his job. Sam is determined to work in the office, too, even if it means a battle of wits and sarcasm between him and Layla.

Between the revolving door of potential suitors, Layla’s interfering family, and the sparks flying between Sam and Layla, the order and quiet these two were looking for doesn’t seem to be on the menu. Love, however, that may be a dish served hot if they’re willing to admit that sharing an office isn’t so bad and sharing their hearts may be even better.

The Marriage Game will be available in print, audio, and e-book format June 9.
