After The 100’s intense seventh season premiere, “The Garden” promises to give fans a look inside of the mysterious Anomaly (finally).

The final season of The 100 kicked off with a bang, juggling two storylines at once: the rising tensions within Sanctum and the mystery of the Anomaly outside of it. “From the Ashes” set fans up for an interesting season going forward, and it looks like this week we may finally get some answers as to what’s going on with the seemingly supernatural force of nature taking place outside the walls of Sanctum.

The promo for “The Garden” focuses entirely on the characters who have ventured inside of the Anomaly already, showing Echo, Gabriel, and Hope stuck inside this strange place — and potentially threatened by what Gabriel refers to as “isolation madness.” This term came up in the show’s recent trailer, but what it refers to remains to be seen.

Fans also get a glimpse of Octavia in this week’s teaser, which — maybe — means she’s still alive in some capacity. Things were looking bleak after Hope stabbed her and she disappeared during the sixth season finale, but she seems to be functioning just fine within the Anomaly. (Well, minus the fact that she’s imprisoned.)

Speaking of, this week’s promo also gives us our first look at Diyoza since season 6, and it seems like she’s tethered Octavia to the Anomaly for a reason. “This is your home now,” she tells the other girl in the opening — and Octavia seems helpless against her, a strange dynamic after witnessing just how much the younger Blake sibling is capable of.

With any luck, “The Garden” will begin answering some of our biggest questions heading into this season, especially when it comes to the Anomaly. It’s unclear if we’ll see how things play out in Sanctum this week, but it wouldn’t be totally out of left field for the show to leave us hanging on that storyline for a bit. After all, it’d be hard to top Eliza Taylor’s epic speech at the end of last week’s episode.

Whichever storyline gets the primary focus, The 100 fans seeking answers won’t want to miss out on tonight’s episode.
