Whether you’re new to Ben Platt’s music or you’ve been a fan since he took the stage as Elder Arnold Cunningham in The Book of Mormon, the Tony winner’s night at Radio City Music Hall is sure to be a feel good experience.
The global pandemic we are facing has brought fear, panic, and despair to everyone trying to take each day one step at a time, but there needs to be space to escape. That’s where Ben Platt’s special comes in. Ben told Broadway:
"“I think [the live special] couldn’t have come at a more, unfortunately, at a more opportune time. People can’t experience any live theater or live performance right now, and I think this is really a way to feel like you’re in a room with people at a show. I wanted it to feel that way before all this happened. It strangely works really well for the moment. I think, hopefully, it will bring people a nice escape.”"
Ben Platt Live from Radio City Music Hall was filmed September 29, 2019. The concert promotes Ben’s debut album, Sing to Me Instead, and is full of personal stories that range from Ben’s struggle with anxiety to coming out.
