Still stuck inside and quarantined? Good news: Xbox has announced its Gold member offerings for the month of May, and they’re bound to help ease boredom!

It’s been a great few months for video games, with new releases and solid offerings for Xbox Live Gold members. With many staying inside due to the health crisis, there’s more time to enjoy these games — and we’ll have even more to look forward to playing in May.

Below are the offerings for May,  the systems they’re on, and the dates they’re available to download:

  • V-Rally 4 – May 1-31 on Xbox One
  • Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr – May 16 to June 15 on Xbox One
  • Sensible World of Soccer – May 1 to 15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
  • Overlord II – May 16 to 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360

Check out the announcement video below:

Let’s jump right in and take a look at this month’s offerings!

First off is the usual racing offering in the form of V-Rally 4. Originally released in September 2018, it’s the fourth installment in the V-Rally racing series, and the first release in 16 years in the series. While the graphics are nothing to gawk at, the realistic handling of the cars and the fun tracks make it a play for any racing game enthusiast. Casual gamers may not enjoy it as much, but they may still want to try their hand at it if they want to dip their does in the V-Rally series.

Next up is Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr. It’s a solid action RPG that comes across as  repetitive. But if you’ve been playing a lot of Animal Crossing like me, or trying to complete Final Fantasy VII Remake 100 percent like my husband, repetitiveness is right up your alley.

You’re put in the shoes of an inquisitor whose job is to track down and eliminate cultists and heretics who oppose the God-Emperor’s rule. The voice acting is very hammy and perfectly Warhammer to keep you entertained. Combat isn’t very creative and is repetitive, so if you’re looking for a game to just shut off your brain, this is a pretty solid choice.

Third up is Sensible World of Soccer, the sports game offering for the month. This is the 2007 reworking of the ’90s game, and it’s surprisingly still playable. You can easily pass hours playing this game, especially if you’re a sports fanatic.

Lastly, we have Overlord II. The sequel to the 2007 original, this action RPG gives you plenty of customization power over your minions, spell specializations, and fun aesthetics. The gameplay hasn’t changed much from the original Overlord, but that doesn’t really detract from it at all.

dark. Next. The Last of Us Part II gets a new release date that's earlier than expected

Don’t forget, you still have one of April’s offerings — Knights of Pen and Paper Bundle — to download through May 14.
