As the world continues to shelter in place, Xbox Live Gold members can access their free April offerings and spend some time gaming this month.

The world’s a crazy place at the moment, but Xbox Live Gold members have something to look forward to — because the Games with Gold offerings have been announced for April!

Below are the offerings for April,  the systems they’re on, and the dates they’re available to download:

  • Project CARS 2 (Xbox One, April 1-30)
  • Knights of Pen and Paper Bundle (Xbox One, April 16-May 15)
  • Fable Anniversary (Xbox One and Xbox 360, April 1-15)
  • Toybox Turbos (Xbox One and Xbox 360, April 16-30)

So … what’s worth your time this month? Well, honestly, everything. Most of us have a lot of time on our hands sheltering in place, but I digress. Let’s dive in!

The headliner this month is Project CARS 2. If you’re into racing video games, this will absolutely be for you. Originally released in 2017, it premiered to rave reviews. From the quality of the graphics to the controls, everything feels fine-tuned without having to adjust anything in settings. Choose from over 180 vehicles and race on 140 tracks — and that doesn’t even account for any of the racing modes.

Next up is Knights of Pen and Paper Bundle, a solid RPG in video game form! Plus it’s the original and the sequel, so two games in one. If you’ve been intrigued by Dungeons and Dragons but don’t want to put pen to paper, this will satisfy your curiosity. Honestly, it’s worth it to play just to watch the banter between the players.

Fable Anniversary is the remastered version of the original, which came out in 2005. Return to the world of Albion and see everything in a new, updated light. If you played the original but never got around to the remastered version, this one is worth your time. If you didn’t, well, there are plenty of other remakes/remasters on the horizon to pique your interest.

Lastly, Toybox Turbos may be the best choice for a family gaming night during these quarantined times. Collect and customize 35 vehicles on 18 different tracks and keep your kids entertained. It gives you six different gaming modes to choose from and feels a little like Mario Kart.

And don’t forget, you still have access to one of March’s games — Shantae: Half-Genie Hero — until April 15.
