The Stranger

If you’re a big fan of rideshare services, The Stranger may not be the most comforting watch — but it definitely sheds light on a fear that all too many women have when getting into a car with a stranger. This series sees a young rideshare driver facing horrifying consequences when a stranger from Hollywood Hills gets into her car.

In the opening moments of the trailer, this young man (played by Dane DeHaan) admits that he murdered the person whose house he was picked up from — and that, if the series’ leading lady wants to survive, she’d better do exactly as he says. It’s a horrifying concept, but it looks at the familiar action of getting into a car with a stranger from a new angle — and makes us think twice about a service we’ve all grown incredibly comfortable with.

Murder House Flip

If you’re a fan of horror stories and home makeover series, you’ll probably want to add Murder House Flip to your to-watch list. This unconventional take on home makeovers will see stars Joelle Uzyel and Mikel Welch heading into homes notorious for the murders committed there — and then attempting to renovate them.

Anyone who enjoys true crime, or learning the history behind murders, will definitely be interested in learning the stories behind these homes. And of course, it’ll be interesting to see how the people renovating and selling these houses twist the narrative to get people to buy them — even in spite of all that’s taken place there.
