Now may just be the perfect time to pick up a PlayStation Plus membership. Sony announced April’s offerings, and they may just seal the deal for you.

The world is a crazy place at the moment, so let’s focus on the positives — starting with what PlayStation Plus members have to look forward to playing in April.

Granted, there’s currently no shortage of games coming out or already out that can keep you occupied while self-isolating/quarantining. (Currently, my household is all about Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the Resident Evil 2 remake, soon to be the Resident Evil 3 remake.) But with all this “spare” time on our hands, a PlayStation Plus membership may be a smart thing to invest in.

Below are the two new offerings for PlayStation Plus members in April:

  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Dirt Rally 2.0

Okay. Let’s start with the less exciting of the two!

While sports may be canceled in the real world, you can certainly get your fix with Dirt Rally 2.0. Originally released in 2019, this racing game takes you to some of the most iconic World Rallycross Championship circuits around the world.

The game also gives you the ability to drive cars from the history of the sport and also modern day. It’s a great follow-up to the original game and has received relatively high praise in reviews.

But it’s most likely Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End that caught your attention this month. Because it caught mine. Uncharted is one of the best franchise video games of the modern era, and A Thief’s End was the perfect ending to the saga.

You don’t necessarily need to have played any of the three prior games before this (though if you are a PS Plus member, you had your opportunity to play the first three in January), but it helps to have some background. This is also the game Tom Holland’s portrayal of Nathan Drake will come from … you know, if the world ever gets back to normal and they stop dropping directors/screenwriters/everyone.

I digress! Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a top-quality option for PlayStation Plus members. And since most of us are quarantined/self-isolating, this may be the perfect opportunity to pick up a PS Plus membership for the next year and reap the benefits.

Next. The PS5 specs have been revealed! What do we know about the Sony console?. dark

Both of April’s offerings will be available to download for PlayStation Plus members starting on Tuesday, April 7.
