With much of the world at a standstill due to social distancing and self-quarantines, we’re taking a look at some of the best television series you haven’t been watching but now probably have time to binge.

People often turn to escapism during uncertain times, and right now is no different. What is going on in the world with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is intense and scary, but hopefully very temporary. Companies are letting employees work from home remotely, some businesses are shutting down entirely, and some of us continue going to work, trying to pretend everything is normal.

The entertainment industry has fallen prey to the crisis as well, pushing back movie premiere dates and suspending production on ongoing television series. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t take solace in the many varieties of shows available for streaming during these trying times. For anyone looking for new television series to watch while they’re social distancing, we’ve compiled a list of five of the best new shows you probably meant to watch at some point, but never had the time until now.

From Batwoman to Nancy Drew, these series are sure to keep you occupied while you stay indoors — and they’re new, so you won’t have too many episodes to catch up on!
