Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears has new trailer and it’s perfection
Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears has a new trailer and it’s absolutely perfect! Crime, romance, secrets, and of course, fabulous clothes. Take a look!
The time is drawing nearer for the premiere of Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears but before we all run to the closest theater or to Amazon to watch it, there is a new extended trailer and it’s everything a Miss Fisher fan could ask for!
Phryne with her gold gun? Check! Jack in a suit come to sweep Phryne off her feet? Check! Phryne fighting dudes who underestimate her? Duh! A crime that Phryne and Jack must solve together? Double check! Amazing outfits? Well, of course! This is Miss Fisher after all.
And they aren’t in Australian anymore.
It looks like Phryne is in Jerusalem, and while trying to free a young girl from an unjust conviction, Jack and her don’t just dig for clues in the city. They also do a little digging in the desert.
Based on the synopsis on IMDB, Miss Fisher and Detective Robinson stumble across a mystery much larger than one girl. It also concerns missing emeralds, ancient curses, and a lost forgotten tribe. And while the trailer doesn’t show them, the cast list does also include Ashleigh Cummings and Hugo Johnstone-Burt AKA Dot Collins and Constable Hugh Collins, respectively. Whew!
Are y’all excited because I am practically shaking waiting for this movie to come out!
The trailer also mentions that “someone very close didn’t want the crime to be revealed.” Close to Phryne? The trailer does show Aunt Prudence (could it be?!). Or is it someone we haven’t met yet?
While the film will be available in the U.S. in select theaters, it will also be available to stream through Acorn TV. And while we don’t have a firm streaming date yet, it seems safe to assume that it’ll be released sometime after the February 27 Australian premiere.
And if you’re looking for any indication of how well this film is going to do: There were three screening at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and they all sold out.

Miss Fisher is back kicking butt and taking names (and hopefully, getting another kiss with Jack) and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
