10 YA book releases to stay warm and cozy with this November
It’s officially that time of year when all of us want to hide indoors and hibernate until spring — so why not pick up one of these exciting new YA releases?
It’s hard to believe it’s November already, but that doesn’t make it any less true. The end of the year is approaching, cold weather is blowing in, and so many readers are struggling to hit their Goodreads challenge goals for the year. On that last count, there’s some good news: November brings with it plenty of exciting book releases, especially in the young adult category.
In particular, fans of science-fiction and fantasy novels will find plenty of new releases lining those sections of the young adult shelves. Just like the year, many series are concluding. Marissa Meyer’s Renegades trilogy, Neal Shusterman’s Arc of a Scythe trilogy, and Holly Black’s The Folk of the Air trilogy are all wrapping up. (Basically, make sure you buy plenty of tissues this month.)
Authors like Natasha Ngan and Brandon Sanderson are also continuing SFF series, delivering sequels to two of last year’s most exciting releases. Kiersten White is returning to the scene with an all-new retelling about Arthurian legend. And Maggie Stiefvater is diving back into the world of The Raven Cycle — this time with Ronan’s much-anticipated story.
While there’s less happening on the contemporary front, there are still some big releases to look forward to. Hannah Moskowitz is bringing readers a romance that tackles chronic illness, a topic all too overlooked in the media. Meanwhile, Ronni Davis is bringing readers a bittersweet story about first love in her debut novel, and Amy Trueblood is taking readers back in time with her latest historical fiction story.
With so many promising narratives, readers have plenty to choose from when deciding on some of their final reads of 2019. Here are 10 books to snuggle up with this November.
