Need some help deciding what to read this month? We run down 10 of the most exciting science fiction and fantasy books hitting shelves this November – from sequels to debuts and more!

As November rolls in, the days get darker, the temperatures get colder and we all want just one thing – to hide somewhere under a big blanket, get a mug of hot chocolate and read as many books as possible.

Luckily, this is also the time of the year when a lot of big releases are headed to your bookstore shelves. With the approaching holidays, it feels like every publisher wants to get their most anticipated sequels out there in time to score a spot on readers’ Christmas lists. And this year, somehow even more than most, it feels like we have a positive raft of series finales to look forward to, as popular authors from Holly Black to Neal Shusterman to Marissa Meyer wrap up their latest big name trilogies.

There are also plenty of new releases to tempt readers as well. Author Erin Morgenstern is releasing her first novel in almost a decade this month, and one of YA’s buzziest fantasy debuts – Amelie Wen Zhao’s Blood Heir  – will finally hit shelves after several months of controversy.

There’s truly something for everyone, right as we enter the time of year when it’s easier than ever to wall yourself off some time to read. (Who wants to go leave the house when it’s all dark and cold outside anyway?)

Here are our picks for ten of the biggest must-read releases for November, from fantasy to dysotpian fiction, and old favorites to new finds. Enjoy – and let us know what you’re reading this month!
