Laurie Blake makes an appearance in the Watchmen episode 3 trailer

While she may have been Laurie Juspeczyk in the graphic novel, it seems as if Silk Spectre has a new name and new attitude in the series Watchmen.

Laurie Blake is a character that is unique to the Watchmen television series. Meaning the Laurie we knew as the second Silk Spectre went by Laurie Juspeczyk. Blake is the last name of the Comedian. Edward Morgan Blake was not a good man. In fact, he raped Laurie’s mother, the original Silk Spectre, and that is how Laurie Juspeczyk came to be.

And so now, recognizing that Laurie goes by Laurie Blake? It’s going to be interesting to see what prompted that decision and why she uses is as a special agent now. Coming to Tulsa, she very clearly seems to be there to investigate either the death of Judd or the Seventh Kalvary and neither option seems to bode well for Angela.

But Laurie isn’t the only one making an appearance. It seems as if Ozymandias has a bigger place in this week’s episode and he’s off to kill another one of his clones.

We’re still learning about the world of Watchmen. So many of these characters can be from the past or maybe everyone we’re seeing is a new version of the Alan Moore creations. Whatever is going to happen on the show, it is brilliant and there are so many heroes we have yet to meet.

Bringing in Laurie opens the door for Nite Owl, Dr. Manhattan, and the rest of those who built the world of Watchmen to make an appearance at some point, and, if it means that we have to see what happened in the original graphic novel again, so be it.

It is going to be interesting to see how Angela plays into that world, especially since this trailer makes it seem as if she’s not going to be on the best of terms with Laurie at the start of their relationship. But we’ll just have to wait and see.

Next. So is Ozymandias’ five act play just the entire plot of the Watchmen graphic novel?. dark
