There have been many Harry Potter rivalries over the years. Which one is the greatest? Voldemort vs. Harry Potter, McGonagall vs. Umbridge? Here’s a look!

There have been many rivalries over the years of Harry Potter. Whether it’s books or movies, we’ve watched characters find their enemies and develop those rivalries. Some developed into relationships of understanding and acceptance, while others remained as rivalries until the bitter end. Others started as friendships and then turned into rivalries.

The big question is which of the Harry Potter rivalries were the greatest. For this, we’re looking at both the books and the movies. After all, there are some big differences between some of the rivalries, while others were developed more in one rather than the other.

This list won’t include those in the Fantastic Beasts movies. While they’re part of the Wizarding World, we’re going to stick to the original story.

While looking at the rivalries, I’ll share why they’re so great and how they ended. Would they end with the two enemies gaining a respect and understanding of each other? Would they remain great enemies? What would they both gain from their rivalries?

So, Voldemort vs. Harry Potter? McGonagall vs. Umbridge? How about Filch and a certain mischievous ghost? Here are the 15 greatest Harry Potter rivalries of all time.
