Ron’s take on Hermione’s priorities

“She needs to sort out her priorities” is arguably one of Ron Weasley’s greatest lines in both the Harry Potter books and in the movies, and Rupert Grint delivers it flawlessy in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. This, of course, is said after Hermione’s assertion that she’s going to bed before Harry and Ron get them all “killed — or worse, expelled.

Not only does this moment cement the personalities of the Golden Trio from early on, but it showcases the balance between Ron and Hermione — one that very much defines the characters’ storylines for the entire series. Harry’s two biggest influences are polar opposites of one another, and this exchange showcases that.

In its entirety, these scene is also an incredibly fun one. Not only do fans get to see Hagrid’s three-headed dog, Fluffy, but they can experience the flight back to the Gryffindor common room and the comical banter that follows it. This is also one of the first times the Golden Trio finds themselves in genuine danger in the series, even if it’s almost laughable compared to the situations they find themselves in later on.
