Star Wars Barbies are coming and they look fierce

Star Wars and Barbie have come together for the ultimate collaboration. Take a look at these high-fashion dolls based on your favorite Star Wars characters.

If you’re a Star Wars fan and love (or used to love) Barbie, you’re in luck because the two have partnered up and created three amazing dolls. These are not the same Barbies I remember playing with when I was a kid. In fact, these might be the ones you put on a shelf and look at — not the ones you play with.

These dolls have high-fashion outfits and show Barbie dressing up as three of the franchise’s favorite characters: Princess Leia, R2D2, and of course, Darth Vader. They are all inspired by Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

Check out the Star Wars Barbie dolls on Mattel’s Twitter:

Princess Leia wears an off-the-shoulder dramatic floor-length white dress and knee-high strappy shoes that I wouldn’t mind owning a pair of. She also has a silver belt and rocks Leia’s signature hairstyle. I think it’s safe to say Carrie Fisher would be proud.

Mattel re-imagined everyone’s favorite droid as a Barbie, and she looks amazing. Her dress recreates the R2D2’s exterior with a blue and white geometric pattern, and she sports silver tights with knee-high white boots. To finish the look, she has a silver short-sleeve jacket and blue eye shadow covering one eye. It’s futuristic, and I want everything in my size.

Last, but definitely not least, is the recreation of Darth Vader. Darth Barbie wears a tight black corset and pencil skirt along with knee-high black boots. The outfit is topped off with an epic black cape that might even make the dark overlord jealous. It’s all finished off with a pair of sunglasses and metallic accessories at her collar and waist.

The dolls are available for preorder on Amazon and on the Barbie website. But you might need to budget to buy one of these as they are $100 each. With the level of detail and the quality of the clothes, it’s definitely worth the money. We can only hope Mattel does this with Rey, Kylo Ren, and BB-8 too.
