Alexander Siddig as Professor Plum

Rounding out our cast is the ever-so-dapper Professor Plum. Due to his status as a professor, Plum hasn’t seen as many drastic changes over the years as, say, Mrs. White. But there’s still a lot of wiggle room when it comes to casting.

In the film, Plum is portrayed by Christopher Llyod, who played the character as a tactless, bookish professor with an unfortunate habit for handiness when it came to Miss Scarlet and the mansion’s maid Yvette.

For our take on the character, we’re dropping the casual sexism and going with a more dapper, gentlemanly Professor Plum: Alexander Siddig. Siddig has proven he can play sinister as Ra’s al Ghul on Gotham, but he’s no schlub when it comes to comedy either. Just take a look at his portrayal of the overeager Dr. Bashir on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

So, there’s our cast! Though the new iteration of Clue likely won’t be in theatres for some time, we’re still excited to see who exactly is cast in which role.

Do you agree with our casting of Clue? Which actors would you put in the roles? Sound off in the comments below.
